Margaret M. Mumea, 89, of formerly of 612 S. Market Street , Galion, died Monday, February 16, 2004 at Galion Community Hospital, after a short illness.
Born May 16, 1914 in Richland County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Harry Otis Downend and Myrtle S. (Davis) Downend. She was married to Walter R. Mumea and he preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of Plymouth High School in 1933. She is a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, Galion, member of Ruth Circle at church and United Methodist Women. She was a homemaker and a typist in the shipping department at Shelby Business Forms for 21 years.
Surviving are three grandchildren and a spouse, Norman E. and Sherri Clevenger, Penny S. Clevenger and Patty L. Clevenger, two great-grandchildren, Eric E. and Rachel L. Clevenger, all of Galion.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, M. Jeannette and Norman Clevenger, a brother and three sisters.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 19, at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 20, with Rev. Paul Atkinson officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
