Essie Cleo Sprow, 98, formerly of 1003 Harding Way East, Galion, died Sunday, February 22, 2004 at Atwood Manor Nursing Center in Galion.
Born January 23, 1906 in Crestline, she was the daughter of the late Martin Jasper Long and Emma (Weaver) Long.
She was a member of Calvary United Church of Christ in Crestline where she was very active. She was a member of the Ladies Aid of the Church and also taught Sunday School. She was a member and past President of Galion Golden Age Club and was active in work with the American Red Cross.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Sprow, March 17, 1978. They were married June 23, 1924. She was also preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 25, with Pastor Ron Kline officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
