Viola A. Johnson, 68, of 240 South Street, Galion, formerly of 8698 State Route 19 South, Galion, died Sunday, February 29, 2004 at Galion Community Hospital, after a lengthy illness.
Born June 18, 1935 in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Guinther and Clarice (Pfeifer) Guinther. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Duane E. "Red" Johnson on May 31, 2001.
She was a graduate of Iberia High School in 1953 and was a member of Community Baptist Church. She was employed as a licensed practical nurse at Galion Community Hospital for 18 years and then worked in private duty nursing.
Surviving are her son, Bruce McClintock, of Galion; a daughter-in-law, Rhonda McClintock, of Galion, with whom she made her home; a grandson, whom she loved dearly, Dustin McClintock, of Galion and a sister and brother-in-law, Ben and Lou Dilsaver, of Tenn.
At Vi's request there will be no calling hours or services. She donated her body to Ohio State University.
