Ralph Eugene Hanlon, 71, of 1413 Harding Way East, Galion, died Saturday, March 13, 2004 at home.
Born December 27, 1932 in Morrow Co., Ohio, he was the son of the late James L. Hanlon and Florence Edna (Gottfried) Hanlon. In 1960 he married Mary Jane (Egner) Harsh-Hanlon who preceded him in death June of 1970.
He was a graduate of Galion High School in 1950 and a Korean War U.S. Army veteran. He is a life Member of V.F.W. Post #4329, Galion, member of AMVETS, Army-Navy Garrison #987 Galion and Moose Lodge #303, Galion.
He was previously employed by the former North Electric Company, the former U.S. Steel Grave Vault and American Steel Grave Vault all of Galion.
Surviving is a step-son, Howard "Butch" Harsh, of Galion; and nine step grandchildren; many step great-grandchildren; two brothers and a sisters-in-law, Dick and Margaret Hanlon, of Mansfield; Harold Hanlon, of Galion; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marlene and Darrell Rader, of Woodstock, Ill. and Darlene and Gerald Stief, of Galion..
He was preceded in death by a step daughter and a step grandson.
Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, with Rev. Linda Lewis officiating. Interment will be in Blooming Grove Cemetery with Full Military Graveside Services to be conducted by the Galion area Veterans Organizations.
