Lorene J. Young, 79, of 1220 State Route 61, Galion, died Saturday, March 20, 2004 at Galion Community Hospital, after an extended illness.
Born January 4, 1925 in Galion, she was the daughter of the late Lester Wirick and Hattie (West) Wirick. She married Harry F. Young on December 24, 1940 and he survives.
She is a member of Free Methodist Church, Galion where she previously taught Sunday school for many years. Lorene was a homemaker
Surviving are her two daughters and a son-in-law: Connie J. and John Hudgens, of Pasadena, Maryland, Cheryl Gray, of Galion, four granddaughters, Sherri Gray, Sheila Bell, Julie Young and Donel Trettel, 8 great grandchildren, two brothers and a sister-in-law: Varion Wirick, of Galion, Marvin and Wanda Wirick, of Galion, two sisters and a brother-in-law: Violet and Harold Zachman, of Galion and Blossom Furr, of Mansfield.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Don Gray.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, at Free Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Walter officiating. Interment will be in Crawford County Memory Gardens.
