Mary Louise Handly, 79, of 763 Sunnyside Drive, Galion, died Sunday, April 4, 2004 at Galion Community Hospital, after an extended illness.
Born April 30, 1924 in Tiffin, she was the daughter of the late Frank Henry and Ruth (Mitten) Henry. On February 16, 1947 she married, Dewey D. Handly and he preceded her in death on February 21, 1973.
She was a graduate of Upper Sandusky High School. She enjoyed her family, being a homemaker, going shopping and out to eat.
Surviving are her five daughters and two sons-in-law, Shirl Handly and Dean Bates, of Atlanta, Sharron Palmer, Barbara and Gary Kramer, Beverly Handly and Brenda Handly, all of Galion; two sons, Raymond Handly, of Kennesaw, Ga. and Roger Handly, of Toledo; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marjorie Schindler and Donna Baker and a brother, Mervin Henry, all of Upper Sandusky.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Virgil Henry.
Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2004 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 9, with Rev. Andy Grimes officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
