Daniel Joseph Flohr, 46, of 826 S. Market Street, Galion, died Thursday, May 6, 2004 at home, after a short battle with heart trouble.

Born August 16, 1957 in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of Dorothy (Sherer) Flohr, his best friend and caretaker, whom dedicated a large part of her life showing him the true meaning of being a mother and his father and step-mother David and Leigh Flohr.

He was a graduate of Galion High School in 1976 where he was active in football and wrestling.

He was a member of First Lutheran Church. He enjoyed fishing, going to garage sales, drives in the country, camping, 60's and 70's music, watching television and playing darts with his nieces and nephews and being a special part of their lives.


Surviving is a brother and sister-in-law: Michael and Karen Flohr, of Sandusky; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Theresa Fouts, of Mansfield, Rebecca Eusey, of Galion, Linda and Terry Gillam, of Galion, Mary and Brian Fernandez, of Galion; 13 nieces and nephews, Eric and Scott Homan, Royce Fouts, Erica Staats, Ricky Staats Jr., Angela, Randall, Jr. and Zachary Levi Eusey, Joni, Joshua and T.J. Gillam, Timothy and Kenneth Fernandez; an aunt, Lois Sherer, of Galion and his close fishing buddy, Roger Durfee, of Mansfield.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 9, 2004 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 10, at First Lutheran Church with Rev. Timothy Keeler officiating. Interment will be in Iberia Cemetery.
