Doris J. Clark, 96, of 300 E. Summit Street, Galion, died Thursday, May 13, 2004 at Village Care Center, Galion.
Born June 20, 1907 in Galion, she was the daughter of the late Guy Cook and Rhea (Williams) Cook. She was preceded in death on April 30, 1992 by her husband, D.H. 'Hap' Clark whom she married on October 23, 1965. She was previously married to Donald O. Battershell on April 11, 1934 and he preceded her on December 14, 1954.
She is a member of First Lutheran Church, Galion, a charter member of Drama Workshop Players, which was a former dramatic organization in Galion, a member of Naomi Chapter #47 Order of Eastern Star, in Galion and the Galion Arts Council.
She was employed at the former P.F. Klopp and Company and was co-owner of The Clothes Horse in Galion.
Surviving are two step-daughters and spouse, Ann and Ted Schreck of Galion and Sue Dougherty of Sebring, Fla.; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter and a great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2004 at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Timothy Keeler officiating.
