G. A. "Dobbs" Dobbin, 51, of 31 Cedargate Court, Galion, unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord, Monday, July 5, 2004 at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital.
Born February 15, 1953 in Mansfield, he was the son of the late Marion (Mitchell) Chapman. He married Linda S. (Santoro) Dobbin on March 4, 1984 and she survives.
Dobbs graduated from INSTE Bible College and was an ordained pastor and the founder of Potters House Fellowship in Galion. He and his wife have been property managers at Cedargate Apartments in Galion for the last 14 years.
He was a jokester with a great sense of humor. He was a gifted vocalist and musician and could play many instruments. He wanted everyone to be in love with the Lord and share the joy he had.
Dobbs' family appreciated him as good counselor that could fix any problem. He always put others first and was the glue that held his family together.
He enjoyed sharing his love of the outdoors, fishing and camping. He was a true friend and buddy to all that knew him.
He is survived by his family, that he loved, adored and tagged with nicknames, which in addition to his loving wife Linda, whom he was very close to, includes his two sons and a daughter-in-law, Zechariah A. "Little Dobbs" Dobbin and Charlie and Cassie Norris, of Galion; two daughters and sons-in-law, Buffy and Shannon Pry, of Sumterville, Fla. and Camille and Dave Myers, Jr., of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Brittany "Baby" Pry, Wesley "Bubba" Pry, Misty " Baby Girl" Pry, Brendan "Buddy Roo" Norris and Madysen "Maddy Girl" Myers; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Randy and Karen Dobbin, of Winder, Ga., Carl "Ozzie" and Sharon Chapman, of Ashland and Brian "Bri" and Nina Chapman, of Wooster; nieces and nephews, Josh and E.
