Merrill G. Price, 73, of 1273 Harding Way East, Galion, died Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at Ohio State University Hospital East, Columbus, after a short illness.
Born September 13, 1930 in Shelby, he was the son of the late Henry G. Price and Ruby F. (Garverick) Price. He was preceded in death on April 10, 2003 by his wife, Lenora (Jones) Price whom he married on January 27, 1954.
He was an avid fisherman, gardener and just enjoyed everyday life. He worked at the Galion Equity from 1956 to 1975 and then at Galion Dresser from 1975 to 1980 until he was hurt in an industrial accident.
Surviving are four daughters and three sons-in-law, Brenda K. Baldwin, Rebecca and Jerry Javens, Fannie and Roy Sheets, Frances and Robert Barker; a son, Rickey Price, all of Galion; seven grandchildren, Robert G. Baldwin, Jr., Brandi L. Baldwin, Merrill L. Javens, Michael W. Javens, Nathan A. Bachelder, Christopher Lee Atwell and Jason A. Barker; six great-grandchildren and three brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert E. and Wanda Price, of Mansfield, Harold V. and Julie Price, of Galion, James E. and Sharry Price, of Galion
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2004 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 10, with Rev. Ronald J. Herndon officiating. Interment will be in Crawford County Memory Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
