Thelma A. Tucker, 84, formerly of 321 Clymer Avenue, Galion, died Friday, January 2, 2004 at Village Care Center in Galion.
Born August 22, 1919 in Ontario she was the daughter of the late Virgil Walker and Marie (Lewis) Walker.
She was a graduate of Ontario High School in 1937 and was a member of Ontario United Methodist Church. She was a horse race enthusiast and she enjoyed traveling with her husband, visiting America's race tracks.
She retired from the former ITT North Electric in 1986 where she worked in Quality Control.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Holly Tucker, of San Diego; a grandaughter, Michelle Tucker, of Lakeland, Fla.; a grandson, Erik Tucker, of Chicago; a sister, Garnet Kurtzman, of Mansfield, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Elaine Tucker, of Galion; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jean and Jack Rinebolt, of Maine and many nieces and nephews including, Dwight and Mary Ellen Kurtzman, of Van Wert.
She was preceded in death in 1966 by her husband, Tommy J. Tucker, whom she married March 10, 1942.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 5, at Ontario United Methodist Church with Dr. Clair Hess officiating. The family will receive visitors from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Monday prior to services. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Village Care Center Resident Recreation Fund, 925 Wagner Avenue, Galion, Ohio 44833.
