Guestbook for Gerald F. Cross Showing 1 - 14 of 14 entries.

I was Jerry's Choir Director at First Presbyterian Church here in Galion for 3 years. Jerry was a very genuine friend who, quite literally, would give you the shirt off of his back to help a friend and, in many, many cases, that same shirt would go to people who he never knew. His community involvement was also very noteworthy. He was a great guy and he will be missed!

Please accept our sincere sympathy on the death of Jerry. He was a man we liked the minute we met him! So friendly and fun. Went to an Indians game with him once, and he lost his car keys,,,dropped them up in the nose bleed section. Called the stadium and they found them! He will be missed by all, but fondly remembered!

Jackie and John - So sorry to hear of your father's death. As Pastor Hall told me once, there are things worse than death.

My deepest sympathies to the family. I've known Jerry for years and being a former member of the First Presbyterian Church I always enjoyed his friendship and singing in choir. I know that he will be deeply missed.

Condolences to the extended family of Gerald Cross. I remember Jerry being in the choral groups at Galion High School in the late 1950's. I always enjoyed his participation.

I met Jerry while living in Bucyrus from 1995-1998. We met in a divorce support group in Galion. We developed a very close friendship during this time, especially after I related in group how frustrating my dad the "retired accountant" and "recovering alcoholic" irritated me. Jerry piped up and said "Ummm, Peg, I'm a retired accountant and a recovering alcoholic" I think I turned 15 shades of red, but from then on we were famous friends. I came out to Ohio the summer before last and got to have a wonderful visit with him at his home. I think he knows how very special he was to me and how I loved him. I just wanted to share this with his family so they could know also.

I was so sorry to read in the Telegraph Forum online that your father had died. He was 3 years ahead of me at GHS and I remember him from our youth. This has to be a real shock for you all and I know you will miss him as will the community. Take care. You are in my prayers. Mary Court
