I knew Gerry for quite a few years and always enjoyed the conversations we had. We emailed each other alot. I considered him a friend and always will. I remember in 2001 when I was sick all year he always sent me jokes on email to try to chear me up. Ill never forget that. Gerry accepted Jesus into his life near the end of his time on earth here. So theirs no doubt hes in HEAVEN now along with Fred Chapman. 2 wonderful People Gerry and Fred. God bless them both

My beautiful Lora,
I know that your pain right now is overwhelming and that there's not really anything that can be said that will make it go away. I only offer up to you that I will be here for you however I can through memories and laughter and through sorrowful tears. I love you, my friend, and I am so sorry that you have had to go through this. And for Liam, I am so sorry my love and only wish you had gotten a chance to really build memories with your dad. I know that your mom will help you keep the ones you have. All my love,
Jennifer

Lora and Liam,
We are thinking of you at this special time in your life. It is a special time because of all the joys and sorrows that you are experiencing with your loss of Gerry. May you find joy in your memories of Gerry, and in the fact that he no longer must suffer with his illness. As Vicki has stated "...there is no pain, only peace..." for Gerry now! We know how difficult it must have been to watch his physical decline with his illness. You may take comfort in that you will no longer have to witness and share in his pain and suffering.
Gerry was a very special friend and acquaintance to many people. As a friend he was capable of establishing and maintaining very complex relationships, often with several people at the same time. He enjoyed both life, and those folks that he chose to share in his life. He was always open to new ideas and new experiences while maintaining close contact with his past relationships and life events.
We are sure that you will have many memories of Gerry, along with those of family and friends, to share with Liam in the future.

I met Gerry through Jeff Legan in the 80's, in Galion, I too remember the curly fries at Taylor's. He was a delight to know, and always smiling. My thoughts are with his family. God bless, xxxx

I met Gerry 25 years ago. We hit it off instantly and he became my closest friend for the year I lived in Galion and for many years thereafter. My memories of him include playing Space Invaders at the old Ambassador, eating Curly Fries at Taylor's and just relaxing with tea, shortbread and singing into the wee hours of the night. I remember him with a smile on his face and feel very fortunate to have had him as a friend.

Gerry touched each of our lives in a very special way. He will be missed. To Lora and Liam, know that he loved you both very much. He has gone to place where there is no pain , only peace. If there is anything I can do.. I am here.
